The first concept that any person designing a small garden needs to understand is that raised beds always make for a more vigorous crop. Raised beds can be constructed in virtually any shape imaginable so they are the perfect container for any small garden. For example an urban gardener who only has a condo balcony to work with could build raised bed planters in the corners of the balcony and a long narrow one straight down the front parallel to the railing. This design creates a lot of growing space without taking away much of floor space on the balcony.
* The complete garden will be on look as a whole. There is no room for hidden paths or even division in to individual rooms.
Hiring a landscape architect is highly advisable for homeowners building or renovating a new house, especially one with a huge garden. A professional landscaper can handle interrelated tasks ranging from creating hardscapes (like walkways, wooden bridge, decorative boulders & rocks, trellis, etc.) and softscapes (good soil and plants) to recommending outdoor furniture crafted with quality materials and suitable lighting.
o While designing the front yard, make sure that green plain lawns are a part of it. Neatly designed pathways will improve the view of the landscape. There can be two three small areas where flowered plants grow. Soft sands can be used to bring good look for the pathways in the front yard.
But what if weeds strike? To combat this, you have to make use of a professional weed barrier. This ensures that weeds do not come near to your happy protected place.
